There are several ways to approach custom formulation with our company.  For example:

1. We can add special additive ingredients to our bases for you. See our extensive list of over 160 locally grown, organic actives.

2. We can custom color and fragrance using our fragrances and essential oils or using yours.  See our extensive house list of fragrances and essential oils.

3. You can custom color and fragrance your product at your site. We have FDA approved colorants, fragrances and essential oils to choose from, and some bulk packaging supplies to start out with.

4. We can develop custom products per request. Larger minimums do apply.

Custom product (color/fragrance/simple additive ingredients) minimum orders start at 5 gallons wet or 50 pounds dry. Our technical department will quote you depending on the formula.  There may be a lab fee that applies.

Special development of formulas have a 5 gallons wet/50 pounds dry requirement.  Our technical department will quote you for your particular formula.

You can order special ingredients, fragrances, essential oils, or herbs that are in stock to be added into your base product (5 gallons wet/50# drum product minimums).

Unique additive ingredients not found in house can be provided by you.  All additive ingredients must be pre-approved by the FDA for use in personal care products.  Pricing will depend upon your request. We reserve the right to refuse to handle some materials that we feel to be toxic and/or harmful.

Lab charges or consulting fees apply if a custom product needs to be previewed and tested, or if extensive work is needed. Ask for a quote.

 

Research and Development or Product Customizing:

OPTION A: Send us an example (product and ingredient list) of a product already on the market that is similar to what you are wanting with a brief letter describing:

• What it is that you particularly like about the product (feel, smell, ingredients, look, etc.)
• Any additional features you wish the product had
• Any special ingredients/fragrance/color needs for the product
• Any information about the target customer/market that this product should appeal to  

OPTION B: With no existing product to send in for us to compare to, do the best you can to describe in a letter:

• The texture of the product (will it be a crème, lotion, etc.)
• The use and claims that you will want to make about the product
• Any specific ingredients/fragrance/colors which will be “signature” to the product
• Your “target market” for this product (i.e. the target customer or marketplace)

INCLUDE YOUR NAME, COMPANY NAME, ADDRESS
AND PHONE NUMBER. 

When it is received, we will call you prior to any work being done. From the time we receive your “Option A” or “Option B” package, we can usually get a sample to you within 2 weeks.
