Spruce Essential Oil

With a fresh forest scent, spruce essential oil bears a sweeter aroma than the rest of the evergreen oils. Its scent has an immediate grounding, calming, and centering effect, making it a leading aroma for mental clarity and for relieving emotional blockage.

Historically, the indigenous Lakota tribes used spruce to connect with "the Great Spirit" due to its clearing and grounding attributes. Spruce has many helpful properties. It is antimicrobial, antiseptic, astringent, diaphoretic, diuretic, expectorant, nervine, rubefacient, and tonic. Because of this, spruce aids a variety of ailments, most notably respiratory and circulatory, while providing a pleasing aromatic experience.

Because spruce essential oil is rich with monoterpenes, it has anti-inflammatory and pain relieving effects. Add several drops of this miracle essential oil to your bath or dilute it with a carrier lotion/oil and rub it into your sore joints or muscles to relieve pain, increase circulation, and encourage healthy tissue, function, and flexibility.

As an antiseptic and expectorant that is high in camphene, spruce essential oil aids respiratory dilemmas and remedies lung ailments when inhaled. Spruce essential oil is also high in bornyl acetate, a therapeutic scent that provides a calming and sedating reaction. Spruce essential oil is known to support the adrenal glands during times of stress and fatigue, making it not only calming but also uplifting. Diffuse the oil into the air, use it in a lotion, inhale it or dab it onto your neck for these aromatic benefits!

Due to its antimicrobial and antiseptic properties, spruce essential oil also makes for a useful household cleaner. Mix it with white vinegar and/or water to clean any hard surface. Using spruce essential oil to clean is a great way to get rid of toxic cleaning chemicals in your home!
