The Three Best Carrier Oils For Winter Skin

You may or may not know it, but the skin often has different needs in the winter than it does in the summer. Usually it requires deeper moisture and more protection from the elements in order to stay soft, radiant and damage-free. And the wonderful thing about this is that you don t need to go and buy a special product, either. Nature has provided a plethora of protective and healing plant oils that are inexpensive, easy to use, and just what you need to keep your skin in tip-top shape throughout this long and cold season. Below are three of our favorite carrier oils to use for winter skin. Use them alone, or include them in your private label skin care to enhance the nourishment and skin-protective abilities of your line.

Oil number one is raw African Shea butter. This thick and nourishing plant butter provides the perfect level of deep penetrating moisture along with a protective barrier that leaves the skin soft and guarded from harsh cold and wind. Shea butter contains a very unique array of essential fatty acids and antioxidants that work together to regenerate and renew the skin, all while keeping it protected from the elements.

Oil number two is Tamanu oil because of its remarkable healing capabilities and light texture. This oil comes from the tropical areas of Southeast Asia and has been traditionally used as an incredibly effective healing agent for a myriad of skin conditions and irritations. This oil is incredibly regenerative and soaks into the skin wonderfully.

Oil number three is Jojoba because it teaches your skin to become more adaptable and to produce the correct amount of moisture for itself. Jojoba is actually a liquid plant wax and contains a full spectrum of vitamin E, making it an antioxidant and moisture giving oil. It also doesn t go rancid, so easy storage and long-term use is extremely convenient with this oil. It doesn t sit heavy on the face at all, is light, and won t leave you feeling greasy. High maintenance skin becomes a breeze to care for and wonderfully self-regulating with sustained use of Jojoba.

And there you have it: our three favorites for the harsh cold, dark days, and biting winds of winter. Enhance and potentially specialize your private label skin care line, or make an important addition to your natural skin care collection, with one or all of these oils.
