When it comes to essential oils, there are so many to choose from! How is a newbie ever supposed to figure out which ones are the best? While we would undoubtedly say that they’re all amazing, for someone just starting out, or even someone who just

wants to know that they have a few classic essential oils they can always rely on, there are a few essential oils that make the list of what we would consider essential. Though this list isn’t final, consider it a handy guide for yourself and anyone else wanting to go right to the good stuff, be they curious first timers or seasoned aroma therapists.

Peppermint: Peppermint can be used for what feels like everything! From stuffy noses to sore backs, Peppermint is one of the best essential oils for beginners because it’s so versatile. You can use it to make your own skin care, chest rubs, scent blends, massage oils and of course, it’s perfect as is and in the diffuser.

Lavender: Lavender is a gorgeous essential oil that does perfectly well as a natural perfume as well as a private label skincare ingredient. It is a very relaxing and calming essential oil and as a result aroma therapists and regular people like us like to use it for things like tension headaches, anxiety and trouble falling asleep. It helps to regenerate skin, soothe burns and fade scars.

Lemon: Lemon essential oil has the most amazing bright, citrusy lemon smell and is a fabulous essential oil for increasing concentration and for cleaning things like countertops and sinks. Why? Because it contains limonene, a natural degreaser. Diffuse it when you need a mental boost, use it as a natural house cleaner and get creative blending it with other essential oils you want to try out.

Eucalyptus: Eucalyptus is a powerful essential oil that does its best when being used for things like disinfection, though it performs fabulously when used in essential oils for aroma therapeutic instances as well. Make your own DIY chest rub, diffuse it to help ward off germs and use it as an antibacterial.

Clary Sage: When it comes to beauty, Clary Sage knows exactly what to do. A fantastic essential oil for all things skincare, it has a light and bright scent that would go well with any of the other oils listed here. Make your own DIY skincare creations with it, or use it in essential oil blends.
