Frankincense: The Oil of Kings

Posted by RainShadow Labs on 11/28/2012 to Oils

If there was one and only one essential oil I was allowed to use, it would be frankincense, which comes from the Boswellia sacra tree. The essential oil of kings!

Tree shepherds indeed!! For thousands of years, passed from generation to generation, the frankincense trees of the southern Arabian desert have been cultivated and harvested in order to produce this oil of kings. Sadly, today frankincense has gone on the endangered species list and thus the essential oil is becoming far more expensive and much more difficult to acquire.

Neroli Essential Oil

Neroli essential oil (citrus aurantium) is a very precious oil produced from the blossoms of the bitter orange tree. The blossoms are small, white, and very fragrant. The oil tends to be more expensive than other essential oils because it requires 1 ton of orange blossoms to produce 1 quart of oil.

Neroli is named after Anna Maria de La Tremoille, Princess of Nerola (we're not making this up!) who first introduced the fragrance to Italy.

Different essential oils can benefit your skin in different ways. Just like our skin comes in a variety of types, there are a variety of essential oils available to help nourish skin. Lavender, chamomile, and rosewood are useful for all skin types, but branching out into other essential oils can help treat a myriad of skin problems.

Why Private Label Skincare Manufacturing is Growing

Private label skincare manufacturing is currently enjoying unprecedented growth. Sales are increasing every year for skincare manufacturers as more and more existing skincare brands, retailers, salon and spa owners, and others in the wider net of personal care product sales are recognizing that there has never been a better time to outsource and/or launch their own brand-name products.

For companies who own and market existing brands, it makes sense to outsource the manufacturing of these products to private label skincare manufacturers for a variety of reasons.

Lately there has been a trend toward holistic products for children. This is because many of the medications and chemicals that adults use are not safe for children, but parents are still looking for a way to alleviate their kids' discomfort. In addition, many holistic products don't have the same negative side effects that traditional medications do.

Essential oils are a great alternative solution to help comfort kids and alleviate their pain or symptoms from sicknesses.
